Bio

Kate McKenzie is the Director and founder of Worldviews Productions, a digital media production company that specializes in sharing stories of innovation and solutions across sectors through film, events and community engagement projects. Her production company recently completed a feature length film called The Secret Marathon Co-Directed and Produced by Kate which shares the story of the first women to run a marathon in Afghanistan. She is also the Co-founder and current Director of Story & Culture for the Secret 3K an international run/walk hosted in 24 countries that supports every person's right to run freely in their community. As a business strategist, Kate has worked with over 400 businesses coaching them to achieve growth both in Alberta with ATB X and in Toronto with the Transmedia Zone business accelerator programs. Kate has her Masters in Digital Media from Ryerson University as well as a Bachelors in Education with a specialization in experiential learning. She is passionate about sharing stories across a variety of mediums and is a published author, professional speaker and exhibiting fine artist.

  • Planning your budget? Please note that most talks and workshops require a minimum of 8 hours to prepare plus the actual delivery and follow up materials. Customization requires additional time. Kate does offer a sliding scale for those working with vulnerable sectors, schools and community groups however, presentations are not given for free. Please be transparent about your needs and budget and Kate will work with you to find a solution.
